We are currently looking for a Structural Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing calculations, designing systems, including gravity and lateral framing, and sizing foundations. You will also prepare reports, progress submissions, and BIM instructions, ensuring project accuracy and completeness within the designated budget and timeline. The Structural Project Engineer will utilize their judgment and expertise to lead design efforts and analyze simple structures using engineering principles, software, and calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft project specifications and ensure compliance with design codes;
  • Estimate costs and timelines for proposed projects, reviewing all relevant files;
  • Maintain strong client relationships and keep thorough project documentation;
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as architecture, structural, electrical, and technology;
  • Document design decisions and client communications promptly while tracking project progress;
  • Review all project documents for accuracy before final checks;
  • Prepare and distribute addendum information as needed;
  • Identify potential project issues early and consult with the Project Manager;
  • Review design methods and changes in scope with the Project Manager;
  • Conduct site observations and fulfill all contract service requirements;
  • Mentor junior designers and modelers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in design techniques, tools, and principles for creating technical plans and drawings;
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and tools;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and BIM;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred;
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required;
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
