About the Role

Cox Communications is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Manager II to lead our store operations and drive sales growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all store operations, including a team of sales and sales support employees, with a focus on driving sales of Cox Services while maintaining efficient operations to ensure maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, develop, and discipline store staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Set performance goals and objectives for the team and individual employees, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives and strategies.
  • Facilitate weekly sales meetings to ensure sales associates are aligned with customer and product strategies.
  • Manage individual store revenue, operational, and customer satisfaction targets, monitoring shrink and conducting exception analysis.
  • Assess local competitive assortment and pricing trends, escalating discrepancies to leadership.
  • Create store labor plans based on corporate guidelines, seasonality, and anticipated customer demand.
  • Oversee daily cash handling and accounts payable, partnering with Corporate Cox to identify traffic trends and ensure consistency with inventory requirements.
  • Maintain current job knowledge through completion of ongoing training opportunities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Preferred: BA/BS in business or related field, retail management with supervisory experience, and experience selling Wireless/Mobile products.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel.
  • Valid Driver's License with a driving record that meets Cox standards.
