Packaging Line Operator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Line Operator to join our team at AtWork - Raleigh Durham. As a Packaging Line Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machines, ensuring that products are packaged correctly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate packaging machines to package products in the manufacturing area
  • Perform routine checks to ensure machines are in operable state
  • Execute preventative maintenance on machines and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
  • Inspect final products and report any issues to relevant managers
  • Move completed boxes of products to correct inventory area
  • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols implemented in packaging area
  • Complete relevant documentation on packing and maintenance of packaging machines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience as a packaging line operator
  • Lead experience is a plus
  • Licence to operate a forklift is an advantage
  • Clear understanding of basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance
  • Skillful in stock management and storage processes
  • Clear understanding of health and safety standards and protocols
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to work in shifts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to carry packed boxes of 20 lbs and more
  • Attention to detail
