The selected candidate will play a crucial role in designing, documenting, and sustaining software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for advanced software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain code while integrating software components into a cohesive software system.
- Create software verification strategies, develop testing protocols, and establish testing environments, executing test plans and documenting outcomes to ensure compliance with software system requirements.
- Oversee software project management and manage relationships with software suppliers.
- Develop, customize, and implement software processes, tools, and performance metrics.
- Conduct and document software research and development initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert in software domains, addressing system-specific challenges, processes, and regulations.
- Monitor and assess software team and supplier performance to guarantee adherence to project plans and industry standards.
- Work under general supervision, contributing to team objectives.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Next, and Node.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and CSS styling frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind).
- Knowledge of front-end application testing methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate with back-end teams to optimize API call coordination for effective rendering.
- Experience with RESTful systems; understanding of GraphQL is a plus.
- Proficiency in creating React components, single-page applications, dynamic web pages, and reusable models.
- Familiarity with JavaScript build tools.
- Understanding of authentication methods.
- Knowledge of server-side and client-side rendering, including the implications of various architectural decisions.
- Capability to produce UML documentation for traceability from design to implementation as part of the development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
- Experience in developing front-end architectures.
Education / Experience:
- Typically requires a degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) along with 5 or more years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master’s degree with 3 years of related work experience).
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred but not mandatory.
