Job Description

The Payment Processing Specialist is responsible for processing various currency payment instructions in accordance with Firm policy and procedure. Payment instructions may be a manual instruction such as fax or an automated instruction such as swift or BBH worldview.

  • Responsibilities:

  2. Control/Risk Management:
    • Identify, escalate and communicate risks appropriately.
    • Ensure all instructions are appropriately processed in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to BBH policies and procedure and the various processing deadlines.
    • Escalate unclear instruction to management.
    • Making recommendations for control improvements.
    • Promptly and accurately follow new or updated procedures.
    • Help reduce number of errors, receivables and E&O's by suggesting control procedures or introducing automation.
    • Demonstrate responsiveness to inquiries by responding to in a timely manner with thoughtful solutions which prevent problems and provide quality service.
  3. Process Improvement:
    • Seek to understand all processes, procedures and practices; challenge those that don't make sense.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the FT payment processing.
    • Identify and escalate manual instruction that has potential for automation or non-STP'd automated instruction with incorrect formatting in order to increase STP rate.
    • Optimize productivity, while balancing the need to meet each client's deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong typing skills.
  • Knowledge of USD and Foreign Currency Payment Processing, Keystone & Rightfax a strong plus.

Hours are 10:30am – 6:30pm. Position requires holiday coverage.

  • Fluent in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Hybrid. Currently 1 day in the office (with the possibility of 1-3 days) at the consultants' choice of days.
  • 10:30 am-6:30/7 pm remote (10 am-6 pm in office).
  • This is a 6-month contract with the possibility for temp to perm, depending on performance & available open positions.
  • BBH will provide the consultant with a laptop. However, the consultant will need to provide their own external monitor. A mouse and external keyboard are preferred but not required.
  • The BBH-issued laptop is to be used at home and in the office, which means on any day the consultant is scheduled to work in the office, they must bring their BBH-issued laptop in with them. Other equipment (mouse, external monitor & keyboard) can remain at home.
