Position SummaryLocation: Headquarters in New York City
Work Arrangement: Hybrid with one day remote
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing employee expense reports, managing Amex charges, synchronizing systems, and assisting with accruals.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and process employee expense reports in SAP Concur, ensuring compliance with company policies and collaborating with employees and managers to rectify any discrepancies.
- Accurately record Amex transactions in Concur; monitor employee expense submissions and send reminders for outstanding reports.
- Assist in executing weekly check runs, including printing and mailing checks as necessary.
- Collaborate with financial reporting to document monthly accruals of incurred expenses.
- Administer Concur by setting up new employee profiles and making necessary updates.
- Review general ledger account coding to ensure accurate expense categorization.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience within a finance or accounting department.
- At least two (2) years of practical knowledge of financial systems.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills for interacting with employees and supervisors.
- Ability to learn and proficiently use various financial software applications (NetSuite, Concur, Amex Portal).
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in an Accounts Payable role, specifically processing employee travel and expense reports.
- Familiarity with Concur and/or NetSuite financial systems.
