Senior Interventional Radiology Technician

As a Senior Interventional Radiology Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular interventions. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and a sign-on bonus.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under minimal supervision, you will provide comprehensive care before, during, and after procedures, ensuring a patient-centered approach. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring patients during routine invasive and interventional procedures.
- Offering technical support throughout the procedure while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Documenting hemodynamic and physiological data accurately.
- Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
- Conducting quality assurance checks on equipment and validating departmental skills.
- Upholding radiation safety protocols for both staff and patients.
- Participating in on-call duties as scheduled.
- Providing mentorship and training to junior technicians.
As an Interventional Radiology Technician, you will assist physicians using sterile techniques and engage in various imaging modalities, including CT and ultrasound, as well as advanced procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A degree from an accredited radiography program is required for Interventional Radiology roles. Candidates for the Cath Lab or EP Lab must possess a degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent training.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of relevant interventional experience is necessary, with a strong proficiency in clinical skills across multiple specialties.
Certifications:
Mandatory certifications include BLS and relevant RT registrations. Additional certifications may be required based on the specific lab.
SKILLS:
Strong computer and mathematical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to outstanding customer service are essential. Availability for on-site response within specified timeframes is also required.
