As a Senior Software Engineer on our Customer Identity Engineering team, you'll work on improving and maintaining core systems that authenticate and authorize users across our platforms. You'll collaborate with data scientists and other engineering teams to build and implement advanced detections to identify and prevent authentication abuse.

You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge security protocols, contribute to improving the reliability and performance of our identity services, and help ensure that our customers' accounts remain secure.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable authentication and authorization services.
  • Implement security features to protect against common vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with data science teams to integrate machine learning models aimed at identifying and preventing suspicious login activity.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of identity-related services.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to account security, user identity, and authentication failures.
  • Drive improvements in security protocols, performance optimization, and user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security and identity management trends and apply that knowledge to your work.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on authentication, authorization, and identity services.
  • Proficiency in backend development using languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience working with security protocols such as OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and WebAuthN.
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience working with databases, both relational (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, Cassandra).
  • Understanding foundational concepts of machine learning (Supervised / Unsupervised) and the ability to collaborate with data scientists on implementations.
  • World-class problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about security, reliability, and performance.
Salary

The estimated gross annual salary for this role is $225,000-$300,000 USD.
