Job Summary:

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and designing significant portions of a control system with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of complex control systems.
  • Working with project teams to develop project scope, including defining control system functionality, reports, and documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of control systems, including programming of one or more parts of the system.
  • Required base knowledge of areas such as PLC, hardware setup, HMI, PC configuration, and database management.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive customer information.
  • Available for after-hours support and possible pager duty.
  • Configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of PC/PLC hardware and software, and customer networks.
  • Capable of installing and starting up a control system on a customer's site without direct supervision.
  • Responsible for developing programming standards and verifying their adherence.
  • May be required to help in the training of other employees in the department.
  • Performs technical design, code reviews, and helps in estimating pricing for projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, or an AS degree in a technology discipline.
  • Experience in programming in the industrial environment, implementing industrial control software, and dealing with customers regarding system requirements.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience as a Control Systems Developer or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
