We are seeking a Registered Flight Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated team at Med-Trans Corporation. In this role, you will collaborate with a skilled group of air transportation professionals to ensure the safe transfer of patients between medical facilities and during emergency scene calls. Our commitment to safety and high-quality patient care is paramount, and you will be part of a team that upholds these standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate each emergency situation to determine the most effective approach for supporting, monitoring, and treating critically ill or injured patients.
  • Employ critical thinking to manage adult or pediatric patients in severe conditions while adhering to physician directives.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped aircraft environment, performing regular equipment checks and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, medical facilities, and other partners.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and records are maintained, sharing relevant information during shift changes.
  • Stay current with required certifications and participate in ongoing training necessary for the role.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to high standards of safety and service.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in respiratory care within an ER or ICU setting in the last 18 months.
  • Possession of a State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Certification in CRITT.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications prior to flight duties.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider training provided during orientation.
  • Ability to obtain trauma certification within the first year of employment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in NICU and/or transport settings.
  • Background in air medical transport.
