Key Responsibilities

This LPN role is integral to our collaborative care team model, working alongside RNs, Desk Operation Specialists, and healthcare providers.

The nurse/provider team engages in simultaneous patient consultations and follow-up care efforts.

Essential LPN Duties Include:
- Assisting with the placement of intrauterine devices
- Administering injections
- Providing normal test results
- Reinforcing OB education

The licensed practical nurse (LPN) delivers nursing care to designated patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or another assigned supervisor, accepting delegated tasks to meet patient and family needs.

The LPN gathers data through observation and communicates relevant information to support the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.

As a member of the healthcare team, the LPN collaborates with the RN/assigned supervisor and provider to fulfill the needs of patients and families.

The LPN delivers care in alignment with the patient care plan, organizational policies, and principles of relationship-based care.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be adept at mentoring and instructing, and may participate in committees or projects, including quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or have passed LPN Boards after completing a defined period in a professional nursing program.

- If graduation occurred more than two years ago, a minimum of one year of LPN experience in a relevant setting is required.

- Experience in Women's Health/OB is advantageous.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, adaptable to workload changes throughout the day, and have a background in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

- Preferred: One year of LPN experience within the last five years.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

- Experience in a team environment is required.

- Computer proficiency is necessary; prior experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.

- Ability to work daytime hours; flexibility may be necessary to meet staffing requirements.

- Capacity to adapt to unpredictable situations in the workplace.

- Current LPN license as per state regulations.


Additional Requirements

- Maintain current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers from an accredited program.

- Additional specialty certification/training may be required based on the work area.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation range is $22.27 - $31.91 per hour.

- Benefits eligible.

- Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday; Days, 8-hour shifts.

- No weekend shifts required.
