About the Role

The Radiation Oncology Nurse is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and education in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Deliver patient education on radiation therapy, side effects, and self-care techniques
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year of Oncology experience
