Position Overview

The role involves diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems on manufacturing equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on various industrial machinery and systems, encompassing both electrical and electronic components.
  • Perform analyses on equipment failures, including both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineers to operate testing equipment, gathering performance data on components and assemblies under diverse operational conditions.
  • Design and execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in testing equipment, providing necessary servicing and repairs.
  • Maintain organized records and manage the ordering of electrical spare parts.
  • Ability to work in various facility environments as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: Associate degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology.
  • Successful completion of the skilled trades assessment for this position is required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and combustion systems.
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams, engineering schematics, solid-state devices, relevant codes, and operation of electronic testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of relay logic and programmable controller logic is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and operate at heights of up to 28 feet.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in PLC troubleshooting.
  • Experience in developing preventive maintenance plans.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct machine safety inspections.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
