Position Overview

Role Summary: This role is designated for a Food Service Worker within the Air Force Global Strike Command.

This is a Flexible (FLEX) position, meaning that the work schedule may vary, with potential hours ranging from 0 to 40 per week based on the facility's needs.

Employees have access to various recreational amenities, including fitness centers, golf courses, and swimming pools.

Eligibility:
  • Open to the public, including U.S. Citizens and Nationals.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and arrange cafeteria lines, steam tables, and dining areas with a variety of food items, including meats, vegetables, salads, and beverages.
2. Serve food in a cafeteria-style setting and ensure cleanliness post-service.
3. Set up dining tables, place food and drinks, and replenish items as required.
4. Operate dishwashing equipment, performing routine maintenance and cleaning tasks.
5. Conduct thorough cleaning of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and equipment.
6. Assist in unloading food deliveries and managing waste disposal.
7. Prepare fresh salads and sandwiches, as well as beverages like coffee and tea.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to follow simple instructions, utilize cleaning tools, and operate basic machinery.

Knowledge of food sanitation standards and the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds is essential. Candidates should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and performing various physical tasks.
