Dental Care Alliance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for examination and treatment.
  • Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide instrumentation and materials to dental professionals as needed, including sterilizing and delivering instruments, positioning instruments for access, and suctioning.
  • Expose and develop radiographic studies, pour, trim, and polish study casts as required.
  • Fabricate temporary restorations and clean and polish removable appliances to maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate.
  • Help dental professionals manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions to promote good oral health.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • X-ray license required for the position.
  • Experience working as a Dental Assistant.
