Job Description

This Senior Manufacturing Leadership Position reports directly to the Vice President, Manufacturing and oversees both the Engineering Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. The primary responsibility is managing engineering and quality assurance activities across manufacturing plants.

The purpose of this role at Gasser Chair Company is to provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering and quality assurance departments, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This position drives innovation in production methodologies, optimizes plant equipment and layout, and ensures engineering and quality solutions align with the company's strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the engineering and quality assurance teams, including the Engineering Manager and Quality Assurance Manager, ensuring that activities are aligned with production goals and company objectives.
  • Process and Product Development: Oversee the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, ensuring that designs and workflows optimize production efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Project Management: Manage engineering projects from conception through execution, including equipment installations, process upgrades, and facility expansions.
  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Lead the Quality Assurance team in maintaining and improving product quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an engineering leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the furniture, seating, or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop engineering and quality assurance teams, with strong management skills and experience in coaching and mentoring professionals.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
