The position is situated within the Invasive Cardiology (ICAR) division, which specializes in advanced Hemodynamic and Electrophysiology recording systems. These innovative systems are instrumental in addressing complex cardiac conditions through superior signal processing, clinical functionalities, and algorithms. By streamlining workflows and ensuring comprehensive documentation, our recording systems empower healthcare professionals with the critical data necessary for exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of product and subsystem functionalities while prioritizing software development tasks for product launches.
- Gain expertise in product design and its subsystems, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their interrelations to fulfill the role of an architect effectively.
- Design and implement clinical and technical features of the product through coding.
- Lead and engage in technical design discussions and reviews, collaborating with the team to drive product innovation and apply both existing and new technologies to product design.
- Analyze the clinical domain, evaluate design, and formulate a roadmap and implementation strategy that reflects a cohesive architectural vision.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions.
- Work with global teams as part of the software development process.
- Utilize technical and clinical expertise to contribute to business initiatives focused on innovation and quality improvement.
- Provide mentorship to a team of 5-10 developers, guiding them in design architecture and planning for design modifications. Solicit and offer feedback on design and development processes.
- Ensure adherence to quality systems and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in object-oriented design methodologies and various programming languages, with over 7-10 years of experience in Java or C++/C#, including expertise in templates, real-time operations, and multi-threading on Windows platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically in architecting and designing solutions for cloud migration.
- Thorough understanding of network protocols and web services.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as GIT.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science.
- Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in developing software solutions and architecting medical products.
- Over 15 years of industry experience in software development using C++, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Background in the design and development of both analog and digital hardware platforms.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Microsoft IIS web services.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
