About the Role: As a Part-Time Pharmaceutical Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of pharmaceutical care services across all departments at our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring patients receive the very best in pharmaceutical care while enhancing the efficiency and compliance of our operations.

Your Impact:

  • Leadership & Oversight: Supervise pharmacy support staff, cultivating an environment of excellence, safety, and compassion.
  • Pharmaceutical Expertise: Apply your expertise to optimize pharmaceutical care, implementing best practices and continuously elevating the quality of care.
  • Strategic Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels through precise inventory management, ensuring all patients receive timely access to essential medications.
  • Regulatory Excellence: Stay ahead of industry standards, ensuring all pharmaceutical practices comply fully with regulatory and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centered care that drives positive outcomes.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Education: Completion of a B.S. or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active Iowa Pharmacist license (obtained through examination or reciprocity).
  • Experience: A proven background with at least one year in a hospital pharmacy setting with supervisory responsibilities preferred; 3-5 years of retail or clinical pharmacy experience is also highly desirable.

Competitive Compensation Package: Our Part-Time Pharmaceutical Specialist position comes with a competitive salary range of $60-$80 per hour, offering a flexible schedule of 10-15 hours per week with day shifts only. Additionally, we provide weekly pay with direct deposit, credentialing & travel support, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
