With a Level 4 Trauma Center and a Surgical Services department that performs over 1,300 procedures annually across a range of specialties, our facility is dedicated to delivering top-tier healthcare.
About the Role:
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and innovate within our pharmaceutical services. With a commitment of 10-15 hours per week, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive the very best in pharmaceutical care, all while enhancing the efficiency and compliance of our operations.
Your Impact as a Locum Tenens Pharmacist:
- Leadership & Oversight: Supervise pharmacy support staff, cultivating an environment of excellence, safety, and compassion.
- Pharmaceutical Expertise: Apply your expertise to optimize pharmaceutical care, implementing best practices and continuously elevating the quality of care.
- Strategic Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels through precise inventory management, ensuring all patients receive timely access to essential medications.
- Regulatory Excellence: Stay ahead of industry standards, ensuring all pharmaceutical practices comply fully with regulatory and safety guidelines.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centered care that drives positive outcomes.
Qualifications We Value:
- Education: Completion of a B.S. or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active Iowa Pharmacist license (obtained through examination or reciprocity).
- Experience: A proven background with at least one year in a hospital pharmacy setting with supervisory responsibilities preferred; 3-5 years of retail or clinical pharmacy experience is also highly desirable.
