Position Overview

Role Summary:
The Senior Construction Specialist is responsible for overseeing contract personnel engaged in construction or digital electronics tasks, including the installation, activation, and maintenance of infrastructure, as well as the construction and repair of sub-structures. This role encompasses the placement, splicing, rearrangement, and/or removal of Outside Plant (OSP) facilities, including digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret contractual terms and conditions effectively.
2. Draft Work Orders with clear and precise instructions.
3. Serve as the primary contact for any construction-related inquiries or modifications from contractors or internal teams.
4. Ensure that all contract work adheres to AlienVault standards, legal requirements, and regulations.
5. Conduct quality assessments of contract work and address any safety concerns immediately with the contracting firm.

6. Ensure compliance with work processes, standards, and master plans, while monitoring adherence to schedules by contractors. Verify that grounding practices are followed and that installations align with engineering work orders regarding utility easements and right-of-way specifications.


7. Manage the payment of invoices and oversee the change order process.
8. Monitor inventory levels and procure materials as needed.
9. Provide customer support and address any client concerns effectively.

10. Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with all permit requirements, and conduct meetings with inspectors for pre- and post-construction evaluations.


11. Review all final documentation for accuracy, including final billing and any necessary record updates.
12. Participate in Duty Roster rotations, taking responsibility for after-hours and weekend management of outside plant damage restoration.
13. Supervise technicians during Duty Roster rotations and report to higher management levels.

Qualifications:
Typically requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in a related field; a technical degree is preferred.

Experience:
Generally requires 3-5 years of technical experience related to network operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None specified.

Environmental Considerations:
This position may involve responsibilities related to compliance with environmental laws and regulations pertinent to job functions, including but not limited to work with fuel tanks, emergency generators, hazardous materials, and construction projects.

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week.
