Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MT), you will conduct laboratory tests across various specialty departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
Your role in performing laboratory tests and procedures is vital for providing essential data for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex analyses of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and interpret their results.
- Manage specimen receiving and organize supplies upon arrival in the laboratory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues, documenting corrective actions in the appropriate logs, and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure quality control measures are consistently followed and documented, adhering to departmental protocols for corrective actions.
- Demonstrate expertise and skills to train new staff and/or students.
- Participate actively in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
- Medical Technologist (MT) registry is required to begin.
- ASCP or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.
