Production Supervisor

We are a leading dairy manufacturer with over 23 years of experience in producing high-quality and consistent products. Our product line includes yogurt, smoothies, sour cream, and dips, catering to both single-serve and food service markets.
About the RoleAs a Production Supervisor at our yogurt processing facility, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the production department. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Production Teams: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production workers, ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor Production Processes: Oversee daily production activities, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations or defects promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, conducting regular safety training and audits.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies, to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply and prevent production delays.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and resolve any cross-functional issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing production experience and 3 years of supervision experience. Experience within dairy manufacturing preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, proficiency in production planning and scheduling, knowledge of quality control processes and procedures, ability to analyze data and identify trends, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and proficiency in computer applications, including production management software and standard office applications.
