Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Manager to join our team at the University of Utah. As a key member of our research operations team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of clinical research functions, including customer service, human resource management, and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective customer service and human resource management.
  • Market and promote new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in University-wide committees to establish customer service standards and administrative plans and policies.
  • Facilitate cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.
  • Develop departmental strategies consistent with the assigned department's continuous quality improvement program.
  • Ensure competency of staff through the development and/or presentation of educational programs and through ongoing staff performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency.
  • Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience.
  • Background knowledge of hiring department's area of specialization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related area.
Work Environment

This position is nearly continuously in an office environment, with occasional walking and repetitive hand motion.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a background check and/or drug screen.
