RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidate will collaborate with an educational and clinical team to design and implement educational programs tailored for students with diverse emotional, behavioral, academic, and mental health needs. This role necessitates effective classroom management and instructional oversight, including but not limited to applying CARE principles, utilizing assessment tools, crafting lesson plans, developing IEPs, coordinating with clinical staff, supervising educational technicians, and engaging in various other responsibilities within a day treatment special education context.

REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of Maine State certification as a Teacher of Exceptional Students (282) or Teacher of Students with Severe Intellectual and Associated Impairments (286), as applicable to the position and age group of students, or eligibility for conditional certification as a special education teacher.
