Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transportation Specialist to join our team at TriHealth. As a Patient Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from various areas within the hospital, including nursing units, procedure areas, testing areas, therapy, and laboratory areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to and from various areas within the hospital, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Provide assistance to patients arriving and departing from the hospital, including the transportation of specimens, supplies, medication, and other related items to appropriate hospital and clinical locations.
  • Assist in the physical movement of patients to and from bed and/or equipment, as needed.
  • Practice all basic hospital safety policies and procedures, and demonstrate efficient time management and sound basic knowledge of patient needs for comfort and safety during transport.
  • Be trained in CPR and responsible for the handling/transporting of medication.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Up to 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of computers and phones
  • Ability to pass a CPR course
  • Ability to effectively use a two-way radio

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a shift of 11am-7:30pm. The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and holidays.
