Key Responsibilities- Provide tax advisory and consulting services to clients, including tax planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activities.
- Review and analyze complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate with clients in a non-technical manner, facilitating understanding of tax matters and managing risk for both the client and the firm.
- Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law, applying this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized tax services to clients, leveraging industry expertise and technical skills.
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or related field of study.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Public Accounting, with a focus on international tax matters.
- Fluency in French, German, Japanese, or Mandarin, with a deep understanding of the culture and business practices within the country of fluency.
- Proven track record of managing relationships with large non-US companies with significant operations in North America.
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
- Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740.
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus.
