Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
  • Document patient clinical history and technologist impressions of images obtained on exam request forms.
  • Assist cardiologists with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Contribute to the clinical training of students and Cardiology Fellows associated with the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Rotate on-call schedule covering off-hours and weekend rotation.
  • Perform pediatric echocardiography, if experienced.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
  • Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment.
  • Pass the registry exam from either the ARDMS or RDCS.
  • CPR certification.
  • IV experience with saline contrast and Definity contrast.
  • Experience in Transesophageal echo, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, and adult echo.
