Position Overview:

The role of the Systems Engineer is pivotal in supporting critical application and web service development for an Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solution. This position requires expertise in architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, process optimization, network design, implementation, and testing for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and/or Security Token Services (STS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide system engineering and integration support for interfacing systems.
  • Analyze system requirements, operational concepts, and high-level system architecture to create requirement specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive system architecture and design documentation.
  • Generate detailed system configuration documentation.
  • Manage configuration and oversight of a Certification Authority and/or operational support personnel.

Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) encryption and authentication.
  • Understanding of Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) principles.
  • Experience with LDAP protocol, directories, and replication (RedHat DS).
  • Knowledge of Digital Policy Management (DPM) and XACML.
  • Expertise in requirements analysis and decomposition.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (JIRA, Redmine, or similar).
  • Adept at breaking down complex, interconnected software processes to identify and document dependencies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of articulating architecture and design concepts clearly.
  • Ability to create and review technical documentation, including user guides and wiki content.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of System Engineering experience; an additional 4+ years may substitute for the degree, totaling 14 years.
