About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Therapist to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Job Summary

The Lead Therapist will provide individual, group, and family counseling as part of the First Episode Psychosis/On Track TN model. This role involves serving as the primary clinician, team leader, and supervisor for the OnTrack TN team, facilitating the coordinated specialty care team, and providing weekly individual, group, or family psychotherapy to adolescents and young adults ages 15-30 with mental health diagnoses involving symptoms of psychosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary clinician, team leader, and supervisor for the OnTrack TN team.
  • Facilitate the coordinated specialty care team.
  • Provide weekly individual, group, or family psychotherapy to adolescents and young adults ages 15-30 with mental health diagnoses involving symptoms of psychosis.
  • Work in a team format to meet the individual needs of clients in the program, while providing clinical recommendations for treatment.
  • Help clients clarify goals, cope with stressful situations, interact more effectively with other people, and overcome barriers to recovery.
  • Perform psycho-social assessments for clients and provide diagnosis and referrals as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Human Services or related field.
  • One-year experience in the social work field or a behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills necessary for effective collaboration with clients, agencies, and community professionals.
  • Clinical staff must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license with an F endorsement, or the ability to acquire one.
  • Transporting clients is an essential function of this position.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $52,535 per year, based on relevant experience and education. The center offers competitive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
