Histotechnician - Dermatology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnician to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners in Thousand Oaks, CA. As a Histotechnician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of histological specimens, working closely with our team of dermatologists and medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Process and prepare histological specimens for examination, adhering to established laboratory standards and protocols.
- Embed, cut, stain, and mount tissue specimens, ensuring optimal preservation and visualization of microscopic structures.
- Perform quality control checks on specimens and equipment, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of results.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in histology.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical laboratory setting, preferably in histology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of histological techniques, laboratory protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL, ASCP) or Histotechnician (HT, ASCP) preferred.
- A competitive hourly rate of $40.00.
