Job Description

The Brewhouse Inn & Suites, owned and operated by Gorman & Company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and supervision of day-to-day front and back of house operations of the restaurant and hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Restaurant Operations: Assist in the management of restaurant operations, including supervising staff, maintaining quality control, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Hotel Operations: Assist in the management of hotel operations, including supervising staff, maintaining quality control, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, supervise, and discipline restaurant and hotel staff as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies, monitor inventory levels, and maintain budget.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing the restaurant and hotel's financial operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Guest Service: Ensure that all guests receive excellent service and that their needs are met.
  • Team Development: Coach and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, management, and guests to ensure that all needs are met.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in restaurant management or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in a management position, preferably in the restaurant or hotel industry.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, ability to handle pressure, positive attitude, outgoing and friendly personality, strong leadership and professional image.
  • Availability: Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
