Job Overview

Position: Radiologic Technologist

Department: Radiology

Location: Fairbury, NE

Equipment Utilized:

  • EHR - Cerner
  • CT
  • Portable Unit
  • Radiographic Fluoroscopy Unit
  • C-Arm Unit
  • Power Injector
  • PACS/Telerad

Qualifications:

We welcome both new graduates and experienced professionals. Candidates must possess the following:

  • ARRT Registered or registry eligible
  • Graduate of an AMA approved radiologic technology program
  • BLS certification
  • Certification in Mammography or CT is advantageous
  • Willingness to cross-train for CT procedures if not already trained

Work Schedule:

The department operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility in start times. On-call duties are required, with a response time of 20-30 minutes. Rotation of on-call responsibilities is shared among five Radiologic Technologists.

General Requirements:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Perform a variety of radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients effectively to capture optimal images.
  • Input appropriate technical parameters into imaging equipment.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and accurately, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Process images using digital radiographic equipment and verify transmission to radiologists.
  • Assess patient conditions and develop alternative imaging methods when necessary.
  • Follow radiation safety policies to protect patients and staff.
  • Provide competent patient care, including obtaining medical histories relevant to examinations.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling exams and ensuring accurate billing.
  • Organize work efficiently to maximize productivity.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and participate in departmental meetings.

Compliance:

Adherence to state and federal regulations related to radiologic operations is essential. Participation in ongoing education and compliance programs is expected.
