Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Equity LifeStyle Properties Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians and ensure they follow safe work practices.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including interviewing candidates, training new employees, conducting performance reviews, and initiating disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all community mechanical equipment.
  • Review and delegate work orders in a timely manner and ensure that service requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • Communicate regularly with management and staff, and respond to guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual community budget with respect to maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
  • Operate within the approved budget and make decisions regarding the allocation of funds within the maintenance department.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of direct technical work experience in applicable areas, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
