Aircraft Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at Tyonek Native Corporation. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of aircraft systems, including flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, and engines.
Key Responsibilities- Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on aircraft systems and their components
- Perform flight line maintenance, including functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing airframe mechanical systems and their components
- Perform post-assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights
- Identify malfunctions and determine corrective action required
- Perform engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks
- Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges
- Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least four years of recent verifiable experience in aircraft maintenance
- Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies
- Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment
- Skill in reading and understanding data and settings for cockpit instruments and gauges
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
