Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Physicist to enhance our Radiation Oncology team. This role involves providing expert physics consultation to our oncology staff, ensuring optimal patient care and treatment protocols.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Doctorate in Medical Physics, with a preference for board certification in therapeutic radiological physics or completion of ABR part 2. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology at our facility, including:

  • Varian iX linac
  • Varian Gammamed HDR afterloader
  • GE Lightspeed CT
Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on Quality Assurance utilizing tools such as:

  • IBA Blue Phantom II
  • Mapchecks
  • Daily QA3s
  • IC Profilers
  • Mobius 3D
  • Clearcheck
  • Mobius FX for IMRT/VMAT QA
Skills and Attributes

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional presentation abilities and effective communication skills, both in person and remotely
  • Strong analytical capabilities, mathematical proficiency, and physics knowledge, particularly in data collection and problem-solving
