Role Overview:
As a Solutions Architect within a collaborative team, you will engage in all stages of the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, conceptual and detailed design, software development, and application deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and maintain a repository of technical component models for FIS product lines.
- Document technical product solutions and identify key opportunities within FIS financial services.
- Maintain a library of reusable technical application components relevant to applications and product lines.
- Align architectural strategies with business objectives while implementing modern technology practices.
- Advocate for contemporary technical and DevOps methodologies.
- Provide architectural guidance as products transition from legacy systems.


What You Will Need:
- Strong communication skills to articulate the value of new IT strategies.
- Highly technical and hands-on experience.
- Ability to provide foundational code to development teams.
- Proficiency in creating and owning technical designs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least one major cloud platform (preferably Azure or AWS).
- A generalist approach rather than specialization in a single area, given the breadth of this role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Open-Source Cloud-Native tools (5 years).
- Practical experience with large datasets (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
- Familiarity with Angular, Java, JavaScript, SAML, and Restful APIs.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience; postgraduate education is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with COBOL is a plus.
- Familiarity with IMS/DB2 is preferred.

Compensation:
FIS is dedicated to providing its employees with exciting career opportunities and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $117,000 to $197,580. Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
