About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations.
  • Project Review and Signing: Review, sign, and seal projects to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Site Visits and Inspections: Conduct site visits, inspections, and participate in commissioning work to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Electrical Equipment Specifications: Write and edit electrical equipment specifications, select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
  • Project Management: Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget.
Requirements
  • 5-10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
  • Must hold a valid Electrical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
  • Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems, including interactive generator controls systems.
  • Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
  • Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team.
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
