Position Overview: The Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and document financial transactions to maintain the integrity of accounting records.
  • Analyze and compile financial data to support decision-making processes.
  • Oversee the general ledger operations, including account setup and posting activities.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all tasks are completed as per the closing checklist.
  • Prepare monthly billing statements and ensure revenue recognition aligns with GAAP standards.
  • Facilitate the upload of billing information into required third-party EDI systems.
  • Generate month-end Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) entries related to sold products.
  • Record and reconcile transactions between intercompany accounts.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations, ensuring subledgers align with the general ledger.
  • Review internal financial reports and analyze variances against forecasts.
  • Support audits related to sales and use tax as necessary.
  • Continuously assess and enhance internal controls and procedures.
  • Provide necessary documentation during audit processes.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding organizational financial information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA track is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data integration processes between various systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to third-party systems utilized in daily operations.
