Speech Language Pathology Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapy services under supervision.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and evaluations
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP to address speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with caregivers, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and session notes
