Speech Therapist II

As a Speech Therapist II at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing diagnosis and treatment of complex communication disorders for adults and children. You will ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, oversee the work of entry-level staff, and support community programs.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and administer diagnostic tests to identify communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairments, and neurological defects. Provide individualized treatment plans and advise physicians and caregivers on test results.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, provide training to junior therapists, and participate in staff development programs.
- Develop and maintain department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Identify opportunities to contain costs and improve services.
- Assist with community programs and serve as a consultant on interdisciplinary teams.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of previous experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Speech-Language Pathologist License (California)
- National Provider Identifier
- Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate
- Basic Life Support required at hire
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
