Continuum of Colorado Inc. is in search of Licensed Massage Therapists in Colorado Springs to deliver in-home, licensed therapeutic massage services to both children and adults in the Home and Community Support department. The role involves the physical manipulation of muscles to alleviate contractures or spasms, enhance extension, promote muscle relaxation, and reduce muscle tension. Our Massage Therapists will also participate in assessing range of motion, muscle strength, and formulating therapy plans for individuals in need.

Opportunities are available in the Denver, Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins regions.

Flexibility in hours and shifts is essential, as you will be responsible for scheduling your own appointments with clients. A portable massage bed and sheets are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

  • Active Massage Therapist license in Colorado
  • Two years of experience and/or relevant education or training working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Familiarity with the developmental disabilities system, including rules and regulations
  • Understanding of motor development, motor disorders, and suitable therapeutic interventions
  • Ability to maintain necessary training, certifications, and licensure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; effective communication with clients, families, staff, and others
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English; Spanish language skills are a plus
  • Capability to write progress reports and implement plans effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external agencies while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Capacity to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Personal vehicle in good working condition for use during work hours
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of adequate vehicle insurance
  • Meet driving requirements; no suspensions or more than three tickets in three years

Compensation and Benefits
$35.00 per hour for massage sessions, training, visits, and supervision + $14.42 per hour for drive time.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with CCB Case Manager to ensure the need for massage therapy is identified by a Medicaid State Plan therapist (OT or PT) or a physician
  • Establish treatment goals and monitor progress at least quarterly
  • Conduct consultative visits to families, either independently or in collaboration with other team members
  • Ensure compliance with Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) rules and regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures in service provision
  • Complete all program-related documentation accurately
  • Accommodate individual and family schedules when planning meetings
  • Monitor health and safety issues, providing advice as necessary; collaborate with HCSP Supervisor as required
