Current Opening: Licensed Massage Therapists in Colorado Springs

Continuum of Colorado Inc. is in search of Licensed Massage Therapists to deliver in-home, licensed therapeutic massage services to both children and adults within the Home and Community Support department. The role involves the physical manipulation of muscles to alleviate contractures or spasms, enhance extension, promote muscle relaxation, and reduce muscle tension. Our Massage Therapists will also play a role in assessing range of motion, muscle strength, and developing therapy plans tailored for individuals.

Available service opportunities include the Denver region, Colorado Springs region, and Fort Collins region.

Work hours and shifts will be determined by the needs of the participants receiving services. Flexibility is essential as you will be responsible for scheduling your own appointments with individuals in care. It is preferred that you provide a portable massage bed and sheets.

Qualifications

  • Active Massage Therapist license in Colorado
  • Minimum of two years of experience and/or relevant education or training working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Familiarity with the developmental disabilities system, including relevant rules and regulations
  • Understanding of motor development, motor disorders, and suitable therapeutic interventions
  • Ability to maintain required training, certifications, and licensure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of effectively interacting with individuals served, families, staff, and others
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English; Spanish language skills are a plus
  • Ability to document progress and implement therapy plans
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals served, colleagues, agency administration, and external agencies while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Possession of a personal vehicle in good working condition for use during work hours
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of adequate vehicle insurance
  • Must meet driving criteria; no suspensions or more than three tickets in the past three years

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary is $35.00 per hour for massage sessions, training, visits, and supervision, plus $14.42 per hour for travel time.

For employees working 18 hours per week or more, the following benefits are available:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with CCB Case Manager to confirm the necessity of massage therapy as identified by a Medicaid State Plan therapist (OT or PT) or a physician
  • Set treatment goals and monitor progress at least quarterly
  • Conduct consultative visits to families, either independently or in collaboration with other team members
  • Ensure compliance with Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) regulations and agency policies in service provision
  • Complete all necessary program-related documentation
  • Accommodate individual and family schedules when planning meetings
  • Monitor health and safety concerns, providing advice as needed; collaborate with HCSP Supervisor as required

Compensation details: $35.00 per hour
