Job Summary

This is a full-time position responsible for delivering customers' orders by driving a delivery truck over an established route and collecting payments as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain the vehicle's condition, logging inspections and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure safe vehicle and load conditions by complying with company policies, highway rules, and regulations.
  • Distribute spirits and wine to specific customers by driving the delivery truck.
  • Unload the truck using hand trucks, dollies, or pallet jacks.
  • Reconcile customers' invoices by collecting COD payments and recording transactions on company and customer receipts.
  • Record daily deliveries by completing delivery records as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.
  • Collect product returns by obtaining customers' signatures on receipts for pick-up or delivery.
  • Maintain records by completing DOT driver logs.
  • Keep the delivery truck clean and well-maintained by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck cab and box.
  • Report and request routine truck maintenance by completing electronic and written maintenance request forms.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL Class B (Commercial Drivers License).
  • Clean MVR record as per our Company Fleet Safety Policy.
  • 1-2 years related delivery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills
  • General knowledge of DOT regulations and proven history of safe driving.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

Salary: $28.63/hour

Salary Unit: Hourly
