Patient Service Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at Lenox Hill Radiology. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and Register Patients: Welcome patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our facility.
- Obtain and Verify Patient Information: Collect and verify accurate patient information, including insurance and demographic data, to ensure timely and effective care.
- Manage Scheduling and Appointments: Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed, ensuring that patients are notified of any changes or updates.
- Provide Orientation and Directions: Give patients clear and concise instructions on preparatory and safety protocols, as well as provide directions to facilities as needed.
- Coordinate with Back-Office Staff: Collaborate with our back-office team to ensure timely and effective care of patients, including coordination of medical records and test results.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
- Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer software and systems, including electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
- Strong Multitasking and Communication Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Experience in Customer Service: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Medical Terminology Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and concepts, as well as recent experience in a medical or radiology office setting.
- Competitive Pay Rate: A competitive hourly rate of $23.00 per hour.
- Varied Shift Schedule: A varied shift schedule, including hours as needed, to accommodate the needs of our patients and staff.
