Your Contribution:
Jacobs is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to support a significant contract. In this role, you will be recognized as a specialist, offering technical direction and insights to fulfill all project requirements. You will also lend your expertise in system security, crafting security architectures and developing security designs for various program platforms. Your responsibilities will include formulating System Engineering plans and procedures in alignment with DoD best practices. You will engage in the research, design, development, testing, or oversight of the manufacturing and installation of RF communications equipment, components, or systems applicable to commercial, industrial, military, or scientific sectors.
The working environment is dynamic and may involve pressures associated with deadlines. The nature of this position necessitates a high level of collaboration and teamwork with colleagues as well as with individuals across the organization and with clients. Our program ensures that process information is readily accessible, providing support for team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a Senior Systems Engineer:
- Engage in the research, design, development, testing, or oversight of RF communications equipment, components, or systems across various sectors.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years must involve duties related to DoD communication systems or networks.
- 5 of the 10 years should include experience with Project-25 compatible public-safety radio communications systems. Experience may overlap.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field.
- DoD compliant IAT Level III certification: GSLC, CAP, CASP, CISM, or CISSP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the XACTA IA Manager is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and prioritize needs and requirements effectively.
- Prior military experience is considered a plus for this role.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and system development is essential due to the evolving nature of cyber threats.
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, data formats, and software.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a responsible team player with exceptional relationship management skills.
