About the Position: We are seeking a Quality and Environmental Systems Compliance Specialist to become an integral part of our team. In this capacity, you will oversee the adherence of our management systems to both internal and external benchmarks. As a Compliance Specialist, your role will involve facilitating successful audits for ISO:9001 and ISO:14001 standards. You will engage in shaping the management system strategy, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and assisting in the implementation of management system software.

Location: This role is based at our facility, with potential for a hybrid remote work setup, contingent on the responsibilities of the position and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, execute, enhance, and consistently reinforce established Quality and Environmental core processes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of business strategies to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance in line with documented procedures across all functional responsibilities, including awareness of forthcoming changes to relevant standards.
  • Design and deliver a Quality and Environmental training program to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Support and oversee the internal audit program.
  • Conduct regional Integrated Management Systems (IMS) evaluations.
  • Plan and lead internal and external audits in accordance with ISO:9001 and ISO:14001, guiding plant leaders and team members through audit preparations.
  • Prepare, respond to, and manage all external communications related to ISO:9001 and ISO:14001, including conveying risks identified during audits to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain an aspects and impacts register in compliance with ISO:14001.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience with ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO:14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing ISO:9001 and ISO:14001.
  • Certified lead auditor for ISO:9001 and ISO:14001.
  • Experience in creating and managing an aspects and impacts register in line with ISO:14001.
  • Proven experience leading third-party audits by adhering to established audit plans, delegating audit tasks, conducting audit meetings, defining corrective actions, and overseeing follow-up activities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills, including customer interaction via various communication methods to support audit team objectives.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently with minimal oversight.
  • Capability to collaborate within a team, actively engage, and partner with manufacturing, leadership, and technical associates.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in utilizing or creating a digitized register of aspects and impacts in accordance with ISO, along with familiarity with ISO:45001 Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) with ASQ and/or experience in the textile industry.
  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes and SAP.
