Responsibilities:

* Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
* Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials
* Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications
* Be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and frequent changes
* Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel or assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues

Qualifications:

* 10 years of experience in welding and fabrication
* Skilled in at least two welding processes
* Able to weld in all welding positions
* Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
* Strong understanding of the use of precision measuring instruments and the application of these instruments
