Position and Responsibilities Overview

The Plumbing Services Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the plumbing services rendered by the Field Services Department align with contractual obligations and customer expectations.

This role involves direct communication with Customer Services to guarantee quality and profitability in Field Services operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the General Superintendent to analyze and report on project and service profitability.
  • Supporting the Customer Services Department in managing Planned Maintenance Agreements and service requests.
  • Overseeing equipment start-up processes and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Conducting quality control inspections on service work.
  • Providing technical troubleshooting and diagnostics to support field operations.
  • Assisting in the training and development of Service Plumbing technicians.
  • Engaging with Planned Maintenance Service Agreement Sales personnel well in advance of contract expirations.

The supervisor will plan and manage plumbing service activities in the field, ensuring that all work is executed safely, punctually, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating project personnel and procuring necessary equipment and materials.
  • Managing subcontractor activities and liaising with owners, customers, and general contractors.
  • Assisting in pricing and defining the scope of work alongside Account Managers or Inside Sales when necessary.
  • Completing all required work documentation in accordance with service protocols.
  • Guiding field staff in accurately completing specialized forms and ensuring proper paperwork submission to relevant departments.
  • Providing training to owners as needed.
  • Making timely decisions that prioritize the interests of both the company and the customer.
  • Requesting inspections as required and ensuring compliance with all necessary standards.
  • Facilitating the training of Service Plumbing technicians.
  • Generating lead referrals from project activities for the Sales Department or Inside Sales.
  • Mentoring field staff in executing the aforementioned tasks.
Qualifications

This position requires indirect supervision and the application of advanced techniques and knowledge relevant to plumbing services.

Candidates should possess:

  • A college/university degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.

Minimum Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Work in all weather conditions.
