Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist II at Northshore, you will operate a variety of radiology equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other clinical staff to obtain films, images, and records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in explaining procedures to patients, reducing anxiety, and promoting trust. Additionally, you will deliver exceptional customer service in all aspects of your job.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining films, images, and records.
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide opportunities for questions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in all aspects of the job.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of ACR/JCAHO requirements.
  • Associate's Degree or higher, preferred.
  • Prior x-ray experience in a surgical environment, preferred.
  • IEMA licensure or notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation.
  • ARRT(R) certification, candidate status.
  • Certificate of Completion or letter from Radiology Program Director.
  • Current CPR Certification.
