Family Support Specialist - Education and Workforce Development - Annual Salary $40,619 - $44,110 (based on qualifications)

The Family Support Specialist will collaborate with various partner organizations to assist families and individuals in achieving economic self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong self-management skills, enabling them to guide clients through the intricate landscape of available support services tailored to their unique needs. Candidates should have prior experience in case management, counseling, or client intake, along with reliable transportation for home visits or transitional housing support. Key responsibilities include providing career development assistance, GED support, and housing resource navigation, with a focus on serving low-income populations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient computer and data entry capabilities, are essential. A genuine commitment to uplifting our community is a must.

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; primarily in-office work.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package:

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with specialized training in social services, counseling, education, or related fields. A minimum of one year of hands-on experience working directly with low-income community members in a counseling or educational capacity is required. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred. A valid driver's license is also necessary.
